Pre-electoral survey invitation about the environment

News - Intro image

As the municipal elections are approaching (save the date : November 7, 2021), Conseil régional de l'environnement de Laval and Laval en transition invite citizens to fill out a brief survey that will allow everyone to express their views on environmental issues that are concerning to them; results will then be transmitted to all municipal candidates so that the environmental agenda is placed at the very center of the 2021 election period in Laval.

Did you know that 82% of Quebec's population demands urgent action to fight against climate change and protect the environment (Equiterre, 2021)?

Municipalities are major players in the ecological transition; by November 7, 2021, let's engage our elected officials to make sure that the environment will be at the heart of their election campaigns.

As a reminder, here are the five pillars of the City of Laval's strategic vision « Urban in nature »: alive in nature (land use planning); appealing in nature (neighbourhood life); human in nature (citizens); entreprising in nature (economy); and committed in nature (governance). Discover more about the strategic vision - Laval 2035.

Survey results, once tabulated, will be shared on our social media platforms. Rest assured that results will be anonymous.

Moreover, we invite you to have a look at the environmental proposals drawn by Vire au vert, which aim to help citizens in making an informed choice between the different candidates standing for election in their municipality or regional county municipality.

We thank you sincerely for your essential collaboration, and don't hesitate to share the news!
