CRE de Laval, in collaboration with the City of Laval and in partnership with CANOPÉE – Le réseau des bois de Laval, PlantAction, and Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi de Laval, is organizing the annual tree distribution across Laval’s territory.
Greening Laval: an essential step to ensuring residents’ quality of life
Laval faces numerous environmental challenges, including heat islands and the risk of sewer overflows caused by soil mineralization. To combat these issues, the City of Laval organizes two annual free tree distributions for its residents. CRE de Laval is joining forces with the City to coordinate the 2025 tree distribution and help green the city.
Dates to remember
The tree distribution days will take place on September 26–27–28–29, 2025.
New platform
The CRE de Laval team has developed a new platform, Verdissement Laval, designed for residents to register and streamline donation management. CRE de Laval also oversees the distribution of the trees.
A variety of tree species available
Trees of small, medium, and large sizes will be offered to meet a wide range of needs. You’ll be able to choose from fruit trees, conifers, and deciduous species. The greening platform also provides advice on planting and tree care.
Eligibility requirements for the tree donation
To be eligible, you must:
-
Live in Laval;
-
Be the owner of your residence, or a tenant duly authorized by your landlord;
-
Commit to planting your tree(s) in the ground (not in a pot), on your property, and at least 2 meters away from any public infrastructure.
