The Roulons électrique project aims to educate and raise awareness among Laval residents and businesses about the benefits of electric vehicles and sustainable transportation options. In response to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector, we are encouraging a transition toward greener mobility solutions.

 

Roulons électrique is an education and promotion campaign for electric vehicles coordinated by Équiterre with the support of Transition Énergétique Québec.

 

The campaign is part of the broader transportation electrification initiative, whose government objective was to reach 100,000 electric vehicles on Québec roads by the end of 2020. To achieve this, Roulons électrique brings together several electrification partners who coordinate their efforts to ensure this goal is met.

 

CRE de Laval is pleased to join the initiative by offering its support services free of charge to Laval businesses since September 15, 2021.

A thought-provoking figure: 40% of GHG emissions come from transportation

 

The transportation sector is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in Québec, representing 40% of total emissions. Of these, nearly half come from light-duty vehicles. Since 1990, these emissions have continued to rise, highlighting the urgency of the situation. By integrating more electric vehicles on our roads, we can help reduce this significant share and improve air quality.*
