The Environmental Education team at CRE de Laval is pleased to announce funding provided by the Desjardins cooperative in the amount of $12,500. Thanks to this funding, nearly 10 additional elementary school classes will have the opportunity to be made aware of climate change issues through a series of five workshops per class.

What is Carbone Scol’Ere?

Carbone Scol’Ere is a series of themed workshops offered to elementary school classes in Laval, designed to raise awareness and educate young people about the climate crisis and carbon emissions.

Through five themed workshops, students explore key topics such as greenhouse gases, the impact of transportation and the production of everyday items, and energy use. Most importantly, participants have the chance to take concrete action and become aware of their ability to make a difference for the environment.
