Laval en transition, Coalition Climat LAVAL and Conseil régional de l’environnement de Laval are happy to invite the population to the second of a series of free, virtual conferences that are all about... ecodistricts! During this conference, virtually meet two health experts that will demonstrate the interdependency between human health and environmental quality as well as urbanized territories.
Conferences included in this project will be offered until May 2021 and many different themes related to ecodistricts will be explored. The main goal is to provide citizens with tools so that they are able to suggest recommendations and contribute to the land use planning of new ecodistricts in their area.
Heatlh and environmental quality... intrinsically linked!
An ecodistrict supports human health to ensure its resilience and its dynamism while maintaining vital functions of the society. In other words, healthy humans are reflective of a healthy living environment.
-What are the key factors of the land use planning of an ecodistrict that will allow for the improvement of physical and mental health of the residents, especially in the context of a climate crisis?
-What are the lifestyle habits that should be encouraged?
After the presentation, a question and answer period with the guest speakers will allow for the participants to share ideas regarding the sanitary, social, environmental and economical benefits related to the creation of several healthy ecodistricts in Laval!

Registration is mandatory to have access to the Zoom link (which will be sent a few days before the event, along with technical details).
