''Réduire notre empreinte'': a campaign for energy sobriety

News - Intro image

During the Fall of 2021, our partner Vivre en Ville launched Réduire notre empreinte (Reducing our footprint), a large-scale campaign that aims to educate citizens on how to reach energy sobriety. Today, this communication campaign has become a global movement... and four events in April will take place as part of the Laval edition!

Réduire notre empreinte is a fresh look on our lifestyle habits that will allow us, in time, to stop suffering the consequences of climate change and especially to benefit from a better quality of life.

Where we live and how we move around have a direct impact on our energy footprint: Réduire notre empreinte therefore suggests small and large actions to guide the population towards changing lifestyles, at the individual and collective levels.

Réduire notre empreinte, it's the promise of a viable future for ourselves, for our living environments, for the climate!

We are also happy to announce that a new blog has just launched as part of this initiative! Get ready for a fascinating journey in the world of the energy transition in Quebec. We do not know the recipe for happiness, but... it seems like it has nothing to do anymore with urban spread and the exploitation of fossil fuels. With this blog, the Réduire notre empreinte movement challenges the idea that  « transition » and « energy sobriety » are boring concepts! You will find a lot of philosophical reflection on the blog as well as (very) practical solutions to constribute to the creation of a viable future for ourselves and for the climate!
