CRE de Laval, CRE Montérégie, CRE Montréal and CRE Laurentides are delighted about the adoption by the elected officials of the Montreal Metropolitan Community (MMC) of an interim control by-law for natural environments.
The MMC therefore endows itself with an additional tool to promote the achievement of the protection objectives of the Metropolitan land use and development plan of a 17% surface area of natural environments and 30% of forest cover by 2031.
In the actual context of the development of Regional plans of water environments and wetlands, we are asking the RCMs and cities to be bold regarding the issues about the protection of biodiversity on their territories.
