Destination reduction

News - Intro image

Disposable food containers, plastic utensils, paper bags… Take-out meals are all the rage! But our hunger for these single use items has catastrophic consequences for the environment...

To tackle this major issue, a new municipal regulation banning the distribution of non-recyclable or non-compostable single use items was implemented in May 2022 in Laval.

CRE de Laval, striving to get significantly involved in this hot topic, is proud to offer a free accompaniement service, as part of its new project, titled Destination reduction! Laval-based food and catering sectors, this is for you!

That is right: your enterprise can enjoy a personalized accompaniement service; in accordance with your reality and your needs, CRE de Laval's experts will guide you towards the adoption of  source reduction and reuse practices to limit waste generation from the food sector. In exchange, you will gain both economical and environmental benefits!

Destination reduction will include the implantation and the deployment of Retournzy’s reusable containers service.

Check out the web page of the project for all the details.

CRE de Laval thanks RECYC-QUEBEC, Desjardins and Symbiose Laval (Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Laval) for their support.
