Trait-Carré woodland : Presentation of the survey results

News - Intro image

A few weeks ago, in collaboration with CANOPÉE - Le réseau des bois de Laval, Les Amis du Trait-Carré and Les amis du Boisé du Souvenir, we invited all citizens of Laval to answer a survey regarding the future of Trait-Carré woodland, located in the dowtown area. We are enthusiastic to announce the results to the public!

The survey was open from April 19 to May 3. A total of 902 people filled out the survey and we are very proud to share the results of the culmination of this process, with the presentation of the analysis results and a revised development proposal for the woodland (French-written).

Valued and promoted access, a protected natural environment and the improvement of visitors' experience are the key words that stand out in the analysis. Moreover, we would like to reiterate CRE de Laval 's wish to make this urban woodland a natural environment that would be fully preserved, as requested by our organization in 2017 during the great mobilization that allowed to spare this woodland from property development.

We hope that reading this document will delight you and make you dream! We sincerely thank the 902 people that took the time to fill out the survey and add their own comments. Be assured that we read them all, and maybe you will spot yours amongst the ones we quoted in the final report!
